In Muspelheim, Queen Sindr confers with her allies Malekith and Loki, making it clear the three do not trust or respect one another. Suddenly, the previously unheard sound of thunder rolls across the skies and rain comes to Muspelheim for the first time in living memory. The fearsome weather heralds the coming of Volstagg the War Thor and he joins in battle with the fiery queen (as Malekith and Loki decide to head back to Svartalfheim). Her powers are mighty and she overwhelms him in flames, hurling him to the fire-breathing sharks. But Thor defeats the sharks but still cannot master her—and then the female Thor arrives. J-Thor demands that Sindr release V-Thor but the War Thor refuses to go until he has extracted vengeance for the elf children killed in his care. He overwhelms the land with a storm, endangering a fire goblin child. Jane rescues the child then teleports Volstagg to the Void where he can do no harm. He considers her a traitor for rescuing the demons and she calls him a false Thor for trying to kill children. He attacks her and she defends herself....
