The Mighty Thor #9 Review by (August 4, 2016)
Review: Decent issue seems to focus a lot on the bad guys, to put Thor's heroism into greater relief, I suppose. And the fight scene, while flashy and exciting, looks like most of the previous Female Thor exploits; is Russell Dauterman running out of wonders to show us? Hope not but the ongoing Roxxon-based adventure is getting a bit stale.

Synopsis / Summary / Plot

The Mighty Thor #9 Synopsis by Peter Silvestro

In Asgardia, Loki reveals why he stabbed the All-Mother in the back (literally—in issue #5): to save her from an even worse fate at the hands of Malekith....

Thor (Jane Foster) and SHIELD Agent Roz Solomon are searching the South Atlantic for Ice Station Prime, the secret computer hub for the Roxxon Corporation. They arrive just as Silver Samurai (2) is destroying the place as part of his anti-Roxxon scheme. The hammer-wielding Thor and the high-tech Samurai fight it out....

On a private plane, Exterminatrix is torturing her prisoner Dario Agger to learn all of his financial secrets. Interrupted by the arrival of Roxxon's emergency response team: three helicopters full of security types; Exterminatrix leaps from the plane and destroys them all....

SHIELD Agents Kurdle and Krill enter Asgardia with a search warrant for Jane Foster's quarters; Cul Borson, ruling on behalf of Odin, grants them leave as he wants to see Jane gone from his realm....

As the Ice Station starts to sink deeper into the ocean, Silver Samurai makes his getaway, and Roz and Thor learn about the Agger Imperative which has been triggered. The Imperative weaponizes Roxxon Island and sends it hurtling toward Manhattan—and once the Imperative is invoked, only Dario Agger himself can stop it. Which puts Thor and Roz in the position of having to rescue their worst enemy....
