Hulkpool carries Captain America to
Baron Zemo's missile where they gain control of the rocket and steer
it to Germany where they use it to blow up the Red Skull's castle,
where Adolf Hitler is in hiding. Back in America they are hailed as
heroes but H'Pool is plucked away by Bob, Agent of Hydra, via the time
machine. [It is here revealed that in this timeline, Thingbeard
became the first President of the United States—and show up later
in the issue on the one-dollar bill.] Bob has found a way to work
Hulkpool into the present gradually, warning him not to do anything
that would affect history. And so... in Hell's Kitchen, H'Pool saves
a kid and an old man from being hit with radioactive material,
prevents an arrogant surgeon from being injured in a car accident,
pulls an experimental spacecraft down to Earth before its occupants
are bathed in cosmic rays, bashes Stone Men from Saturn to rescue a
lame American doctor, squishes a spider before it can bite a high
school kid, helps an American industrialist
avoid injury on a visit to Vietnam, and protects a scientist and a
kid from the explosion of a gamma bomb. Finally, Bob puts Hulkpool
down in the fancy gentleman's club where we first saw Deadpool in
HULKED OUT HEROES #1. As HP tries to kill DP the latter resorts to
bigger and bigger weapons to fight his foe. At this point, Bob is
caught by an AIM tech who discovers what a mess he's made of this
alternate timeline he's accidentally created; Bob clouts him over the
head. When Deadpool learns that this monster is his future self, he
is delighted—but H'Pool's lesson is that killing is wrong and then
he proceeds to kill Deadpool. Bob appears and we learn he is
worshiped as a god in this timeline (see the Devil Dinosaur bit from
issue #1) before he brings Hulkpool back to the present. Hulkpool
leaps off to find his pal Red Hulk, stranding Bob in the desert....
