Synopsis

Domination Factor: Fantastic Four #2 synopsis by Peter Silvestro
Rating: 4 stars

Continued from DOMINATION FACTOR: AVENGERS #1.

Thing finds himself back at the scene of the Fantastic Four's first meeting with Agatha Harkness when they hired her as a nanny for young Franklin; he embarrasses himself by being overly familiar with “Aggie” and openly coveting the Golden Apple slice. Outside however is the Frightful Four, planning to kidnap Franklin as leverage against their arch-enemies. Sandman envelopes Thing in a sand piledriver while Trapster glues Reed and Sue's door shut; Wizard snatches the kid—but also spots the Golden Apple slice. At this, Medusa, who was only pretending to join the group, turns against them but she is likewise clouted by Sandman, leaving all of the heroes out of action....

At Praxis Corp HQ, Lester promises Nora Queen that their plans are nearing fruition....

Human Torch arrives in a previous adventure to the Inhumans' home, the Great Refuge, with Mr Fantastic and Thing out to stop Maximus from seizing power. Johnny is dazed so Reed and Ben take down the monster Zorr; Johnny takes the opportunity to search for the Golden Apple slice. He encounters a treasure vault and, breaking in, he spies the apple slice before him—but he is seized by Black Bolt; Crystal concludes that Johnny must be under Maximus' spell for him to betray his Inhuman friends so she and Gorgon bounce him around trying to break the spell. And Black Bolt determines that the apple slice is what Johnny was after....

Mr Fantastic is transferred into the Enclave with Torch and Thing, seeking to rescue the captive Alicia Masters but when Reed tries to search for the Golden Apple slice, an angry Ben demands he join them to rescue Alicia first. As Reed tries to explain without explaining, Ben becomes increasingly mad and the two fight, damaging the tunnel and uncovering a treasure chest. Reed finds the slice inside and Ben is shocked that Reed would betray them for gold. Then the tunnel collapses on them....

Invisible Woman enters her previous self in the palace of Namor the Sub-Mariner, who imprisoned her, thinking he could force her to return his love. She talks her way out of the protective chamber, playing on his love to find for her the Golden Apple slice. Reed arrives and fights Namor and suddenly Dr Strange arrives in his astral form; Sue appeals to him for help but he is the Strange from the past and doesn't know about the Golden Apple quest. Dr Strange from Sue's era appears and tells her that for the quest to succeed she must kill Namor....

And Reed must kill Ben....

And Johnny must kill Black Bolt....

And Ben must kill the Wizard....
