Synopsis
Late one night in Central Park a group of low-rent villains gather for no good purpose: Sitting Bullseye, Tillie the Hun, the Spanker, and Black Hole. They have been summoned by Dr. Angst who enlists them in a plot to gain notoriety by assassinating Presidential candidate Howard the Duck.... The next day, Howard and Beverly are evicted from their hotel and set off in search of new digs. A wrong turn brings them to the Defenders headquarters where they meet Hulk, Dr. Strange, Valkyrie and Nighthawk. Howard asks Strange if he can send him back where he came from, but while the sorcerer is researching the question, they are trapped and attacked by the baddies. The unconscious Strange endows Howard with his magic powers and the sorcerous duck sends the other combatants to the middle of Shea stadium while he confronts Angst. The Defenders battle their enemies to a standstill--until Hulk rips up the Astroturf and Beverly defeats the Black Hole. Meanwhile, Howard clobbers Angst and Dr. Strange resumes his powers, bringing the others back. The crooks are carted off to jail and Howard has changed his mind about leaving.
