Vote Loki (2016 series) #3

The Hydra Agents who attacked the Presidential debates and were subdued by Loki (issue #1) are being transferred to another prison, despite all still being in comas. Reporter Nisa Contreras tries to follow the prison bus through heavy traffic and find it wrecked,. All passengers dead. She then spies Angela, Loki’s sister and security chief, at the scene and sees that as proof that the Hydra attack was all a set up and now he is silencing anyone who can prove otherwise….

Yet he incident becomes a joke, everyone assuming that Loki had the bad guys killed and seeing it as a good thing. Then someone suggests Loki handle the situation in Latveria….

Loki is invited to participate in a debate with the Republican and Democratic candidates. They are asked how they would deal with the situation in Latveria in the wake of Doctor Doom’s being deposed, and the other two candidates suggest some sort of military response. Loki then manages to discredit both of them by positioning himself as a pacifist….

Nisa goes to Latveria to examine the situation firsthand. Doom’s palace is under the control of the group known as Doom’s Children; agents of the opposition group, the Latverian New Prosperity Alliance, infiltrate the palace through a secret entrance and make their way to the secret weapons cache. They are spotted by Doom’s Children and a force led by the leader Octavio von Bardas approaches the rebels who are now armed. Then a massive explosion takes place killing all of them. Loki, who fomented the whole thing, takes on his real form and teleports back to the US; Nisa has spotted him and gotten this on film. The matter makes the news, with many in the media condemning Loki for vigilantism only hours after claiming to reject violence. Nisa returns home to learn that Loki’s followers now support him even the more for dealing with the explosive situation in a way that won’t endanger American lives while the media is conspiring to discredit him….
