Description:
Starting out as a monster book in 1959, this title made history when the invincible Iron Man was introduced in issue #39. At issue #60 Shellhead began splitting the book with Captain America in his first Silver Age series. This arrangement ran up until it hit #99 after which it was retitled CAPTAIN AMERICA with the next issue, and IRON MAN began his own title with issue #1!
