Avengers #346 Review by (March 7, 2014)
Review: Major upheaval in this issue, with a lot of drama to carry us through, the Supreme Intelligence is revealed to have been manipulating things all along, setting everything in place for the rest of the series. The epic as a whole? One of the best multi-comic crossovers, marked by a complex story, tight plotting, strong characterization, and consistent quality. And it actually tries to mean something in the end!

Comments: Part 12 of Operation Galactic Storm. Iron Man and Hawkeye do not appear in this issue; see the next installment for their activities at this time.

Avengers #346 Synopsis by Peter Silvestro

Follows WONDER MAN #8

On the Kree homeworld of Hala, the factors in the scheme of the Supreme Intelligence are falling into place: the Avengers diplomatic team is appraching the capitol citadel…the Shi’ar assassin Deathbird arrives on the planet secretly…his Starforce heroes have gathered. The Supreme Intelligence tells them the Avengers are allied with the Shi’ar and orders them to destroy the Earth heroes. As the Avengers arrive at the palace they are intecepted by the Starforce and a violent battle ensues. It is stopped by the appearance of the Kree rulers Ael-Dann and Dar-Benn who sentence both teams to death for violating their sacred domains. Suddenly the Avengers and the Starforce are trapped within a force field; Deathbird enters the room, slaughters the two Kree rulers, and departs with a warning to the Kree. Then, as he has been planning for the entire series, the Supreme Intelligence takes control of the empire, orders Ronan the Accuser to lead the Starforce on a mission to assassinate Lilandra—and orders the executions of the Avengers for the next day….
Epilogue: the Supreme Intelligence muses on a big secret "on the morrow—the Kree Empire dies!"
