Synopsis

Avengers: Prime #4 synopsis by Peter Silvestro
Rating: 4 stars

After the battle between the two villainesses, the Enchantress awakens to find Hela, Goddess of Death unconscious beside her sword and Thor’s hammer. Amora tries to pick up Thor’s hammer but cannot, so she reaches for the sword—and Hela’s eyes snap open and she attacks. The enraged Hela delivers a stinging punishment to her for aiding Thor….

In the elven village, the three heroes are attempting to unravel the mystery of where they are. Lady Mageth insists they are in Jotunheim but Thor recognizes nothing. Steve Rogers wonders if their arrival had caused the distortion of the Nine Worlds….

Elsewhere, the victorious Hela attempts to lift Thor’s hammer and fails. She summons the shade of Bor, Odin’s father and tells him that both Thor and Odin are dead and that he may take Mjolnir away. When Bor touches the hammer, however, a flash of lightning alerts him that Thor still lives. He turns on the lying goddess but she returns him to the dust with a wave of her hand. Then, a recovered Enchantress appears, backed by a horde of demonic beings….

At the village, Thor broods over the recent events of the siege and destruction of Asgard and the (apparent) death of Loki, while Iron Man tries to banter with Steve about women. They are interrupted by Fafnir, who attacks the unarmed Thor; the Thunder God responds by beating the enormous dragon with his bare hands. Thor then challenges Fafnir and his trolls to join him in righting this wronged world….

Having defeated Amora, Hela reveals the source of her power: without the might of Asgard to guard the relics of powers, she now wields the Twilight Sword—and strikes down the Enchantress….
