Review: Oh, just look at the reviews for the previous issues, life is too short to keep coming up with creative ways to say this series is different from everything else Marvel has published—and that isn’t necessarily a good thing.

Bucky Barnes: the Winter Soldier #4 Synopsis by Peter Silvestro

As Bucky Barnes and Ventolin, ruler of Mer-Z-Bow, rest contentedly in each other’s arms, Daisy Johnson meets up with the older Bucky outside the city. Old Bucky explains why he has come into his past….

….Two hundred years in the future when the universe is finally at peace, Bucky lives contentedly in a beautiful alien home, with a devoted robot servant/friend. He plans to look into his past: he activates a huge-multicolored globe and it shows him all the parallel universes in which he and Ventolin have been lovers. There is one jarring exception: when he looks in on Universe 616, he sees his younger self lying in a pool of blood. Bucky gears up and using the power of a black hole turned white by a quantum bounce, he is sent back in time to rescue the young Winter Soldier….

Back on Mer-Z-Bow, as young Bucky is drinking in the experience of the Polarity Paradox Engine (which looks like older Bucky’s multi-colored globe in the future) shown him by Ventolin, Daisy Johnson is rushing to warn him of his impending doom. She rushes through the tunnels of the city and turning a corner he runs into Crossbones, who brutally stabs her….
