Termination Day

Synopsis

Captain America #417 synopsis by Peter Silvestro
Rating: 4 stars

Ka-Zar learns that Terminus, which once before destroyed the Savage Land, has returned and he lets out a cry of anguish....

At the citadel, the heroes try to fight off Terminus but there's little to do about a 200-foot tall machine. Captain America, the Falcon, Black Panther, and Diamondback try to find a way into the monster to stop it. Diamond on a sky-cycle suddenly sees Snapdragon as the face of Terminus and speeds up, crashing into the creature. Cap's shield takes the brunt of the damage and he has to make a heroic dive to catch her and slow her fall through the trees. Panther enters Terminus via the hole in its neck created by the crashing cycle and finds an A.I.M. Agent at the controls and is soon fighting the interior defense weapons. Down in the trees, Cap leaves the unconscious Diamond with Falcon and joins the newly-arrived Ka-Zar going for a ride holding on to Terminus' feet. Arriving at the mine, the two heroes trick the monster into sticking its hand into a barge full of Vibranium. This causes Terminus to shake and fall apart and Panther escapes unharmed. Cap summons Moonhunter with his flagship to rush Diamond to the hospital while T'Challa intends to help the natives expel the foreign invaders....

Review / Commentaries

Captain America #417 Review by (December 18, 2016)
Comments: Part four of four parts. Terminus' previous attack on the Savage Land was in AVENGERS #257. The High Technician and Lorelei are unconscious through the entire issue. Apparently Black Panther changes his mind about aiding the natives of the Savage Land as his next appearances in the comics takes him elsewhere.

Review: Dinosaur men? So let's add a giant robot to the mix because why not! The action-heavy tale ends on a high and satisfying note. Way cool in a way that comics aren't anymore.
