Synopsis

Civil War #4 synopsis by Peter Silvestro
Rating: 0 stars

Project Bellcurve is ready to be activated; Steve Rogers turns pensive as his plan to end the civil war is about to be realized….

Tony Stark dons his Iron Man armor and leaves Bucky Barnes in charge as he jets off to the Divide in search of the captured She-Hulk. He enters the caverns where Shulkie is being held and is shot down by anti-aircraft fire….

Meanwhile, the forces of the Blue, lead by Captain America, cross the Divide onto the Iron side. And Cap delivers a stirring speech presenting the invasion as the only hope of ending the six-year-long war to create a peaceful land for their children….

Tony Stark is a prisoner of T’Challa, the supposedly dead Black Panther. The baddie reveals that he was setting Steve and Tony against each other, weakening the country so that he could conquer—and now the final battle is about to begin. Tony uses electrical powers taken from the Thor clone and zaps the Panther, shocking him into his real form, the Skrull Empress Veranke. Tony and the freed She-Hulk defeat the Skrull minions but that is not a long-term solution to the problem….

Meanwhile a superhero/military battle rages overhead, and Cap continues with his plan to de-power the enemy heroes. To lure them into range of the Bellcurve device, Cap drives a tank out into enemy territory and calls on the Iron heroes to come and get him….

Civil War #4 Review by (September 20, 2015)
Comments: Part four of five parts. Many characters are seen briefly in the chaotic battle scenes, including Colossus, Deadpool, Ghost Rider, Hercules, Magneto, Ms. Marvel (CD), Sentry, Storm, Venom, Vision

Review: This would best be reviewed at the end. So you’ll have to wait it out.

Civil War #4 Review by (September 20, 2015)
While Veranke is posing as T'Challa (s)he makes various statements about his people which we take to refer to the Wakandans. But now she's revealed as the Skrull Queen she might have been talking about the Skrulls. The most significant part is "I originally meant to conquer this land. But that plan failed, and I was left nearly alone, abandoned, with extremely limited resources." Does that mean in this reality Secret Invasion happened and failed before Civil War? Or maybe this bit of that world was turned into a Battleworld zone before Civil War, and without most of the Skrulls. Either way the divergence point from the main Marvel reality would have to happen earlier than Black Panther's destruction of the Negative Zone prison, which was the supposed trigger point in #1.
