Synopsis

Defenders #6 synopsis by Julio Molina-Muscara
Rating: 5 stars

The Bi-Beast welcomes Hulk, Doctor Strange and Namor to his floating island. Hulk attacks him, but the Bi-Beast hits him out of the island. The curse brings the Hulk back, and the fight continues.

Suddenly, the Red Raven and his league of flying creatures appear to stop the quarrel, asking them to leave. Doctor Strange locks the Hulk inside the bands of Cyttorak and explains that they cannot leave because of Yandroth’s curse.

The master of the mystic reveals there must be a great danger to the world somewhere in the floating city, otherwise the curse would not have brought them there.

Nighthawk, Valkyrie (Samantha Perrington) and Hellcat show up too, sent by Papa Hagg. Red Raven accepts to search a threat, as Strange frees the Hulk from the bands. Jade Jaws knocks “dumb magician” down with a blow that could have killed him! Namor tries stopping Hulk without success. It’s Valkyrie who puts sense into the emerald bozo. They take Strange to a physician, and he’s all right.

Meanwhile, loyal followers of the Red Raven discover the great threat and give word at the palace. The Defenders arrive, finding an explosive device that is not affected by magic or brute force. Strange (recovered), turns Hulk into Bruce Banner, hoping his genius level intelligence could deactivate the weapon. The curse makes him turn back into Hulk. Strange deals with the transformation, giving Banner enough time to resolve the challenge.

At the last second, Hulk wins over the metamorphosis battle and smashes a device that triggers the blast!
