Rating:
Last issue Hulkling and Wiccan had their 1st married disagreement. Teddy expects they'll staying in his Imperial space palace for the foreseeable future but Billy was hoping to spend some time on Earth. Then someone, who may have been the 'good' witch Agatha Harkness, left Wiccan a magic video game which transported them both separately into fantasy worlds where they'd forgotten about each other but had new dream partners.
Now Emperor Hulkling has caught up with a villain ZeeZee with some kidnapped ambassadors in his rocket ship. Hulkling asks ZeeZee to surrender but the villain attacks him, blasting his magic sword out of his hand. However Teddy's new lover the space pirate Goebig arrives to save the day and claim a kiss. He's evacuated the ambassadors to safety but the spaceship is going to crash. But there's still time for more kissing.
Wiccan is in an amphitheatre trying to magically help his love Eidolon. He connects to the air, the earth, the fire of a volcano and the stars, and he casts 1 of his mantra spells "Restore my love". Eidolon feels the chain that joins his wristbands breaking. But then Billy has a vision of Teddy, and lightning disrupts the spell. The chain is broken but Eidolon is still trapped between life and death since Billy freed him from the Underworld. His insubstantial hand passes through Billy's, but something is nagging at Wiccan.
Hulkling and Goebig have survived the crash. Goebig reminisces how the Annihilation Wave destroyed his homeworld and the rest of his people. He wandered for years as a hardened pirate until Teddy gave him a new home in the Empire and his heart. He now pledges his undying love and fealty, but Hulkling too feels something's wrong.
Both our heroes reach out into the sky for something. And we see what I suspect are the eyes of Agatha Harkness. Then the moment dissolves as Goebig announces the arrival of a rescue ship and Eidolon arrives with a new spell to try.
