Rating:
In #1 Hulkling and Wiccan had their 1st marital disagreement and then a magic video game conveyed each of them to a separate 'realities' where they don't remember each other and they each have a new lover. But the truth is bleeding into their worlds. And Agatha Harkness has something to do with it.
Teddy Kaplan-Altman is still Emperor Dorrek of the Kree-Skrull Alliance. His love Goebig follows him through the corridors of the Imperial space-palace asking Hulkling what's distracting him lately. An intruder alarm stops Teddy answering but he tells Goebig not to call out the guard. He feels that the intruder is causing an ache in his heart and he wants to confront him alone.
He finds Billy Kaplan-Altman on his throne and challenges him with drawn magic sword. But he confesses that he feels he should know him and asks if it is his voice he has been hearing in his head. Mage Wiccan floats to him and asks him to remember who they really are, but Dorrek advances to attack. So Wiccan casts a remember spell which surrounds them both with rings of light, which does remind Teddy of the magic rings they exchanged to keep them linked. And then he too remembers everything.
After a passionate reunion which Goebig witnesses with a tear in his eye Wiccan magics them back to reality and their bedroom. Billy says he senses Agatha Harkness' involvement and then she appears to them. She says she's moved on from mentoring the Scarlet Witch and is here to train Wiccan in his mystic abilities. She may have provided the trigger video game but it was his power which created the alternate realities. And his insecurities created a tragic unattainable love for him (Eidolon) and a confident companion for Teddy. Agatha suggests that they had fun in their worlds and asks them to consider it a wedding gift. Then she disappears.
Their original disagreement was that Billy hoped they'd return to Earth and their friends but Teddy felt his duty would keep them in space. Now they compromise and agree to spend time in each place. But they both don't like Iceman's pie (from #1).
