Sonia Sung, Clay Cortez’s wife, is driving their kids away
for safety’s sake. When no one is around she drives into Lake Erie, the car
converting into a submersible, and comes to an underwater facility. The place
is occupied by Sonia’s mother; Sonia explains the situation and they settle
down to wait….
Clay is fighting Wolverine who resents Weapon H cramping his
style and possibly being mistaken for him. The two face off in a formal duel,
not holding back, but after a few minutes, Clay grows concerned for his family
and runs off to find the Leader, who is with the Hulk Operations team headed by
Agent Ng. Leader teleports away, leaving the team to open fire on Clay—who is
suddenly taken down by Hulk, who would prefer to destroy the Shadow Base team
himself. Logan returns to help Clay get away on his motorcycle, wanting to
protect Clay’s family as well. Leader spreads a few seeds which grow into his
pink humanoids—but suddenly someone else scatters her own seeds which become
gray humanoids that destroy the pink ones. Dr. Aliana Alba steps forward and
nicely asks Leader to allow her to kill Wolverine. They spar with various
high-tech weapons for a bit until they compare notes and discover that they are
being manipulated, both following an enemy who led them by separate paths to
Weapon H. So, they decide to work together to see what happens….
Meanwhile, Hulk has smashed his way through the team and
takes Ng’s master comm to trace the Leader to Clay’s family. Not far away,
Logan and Clay are also comparing notes and realize they are being manipulated.
Then Hulk runs by and Logan persuades Clay to follow him to find out what is
going on. They catch up to Hulk on the lake shore; a scuffle ensues with Hulk
knocking Clay into the distance. Hulk leaps into the sky…and encounters the
rising sun. He changes back to Bruce Banner in midair and plummets into Lake
Erie. Clay and Logan dive in to rescue him and they discover the underwater
facility with Sonia looking out of the window. And so Clay discovers the secret
safe house his wife maintained as Plan C. The three men compare notes and
realize they have all been set up. Introductions are made and the kids
recognize Hulk and Wolverine while they plan their next step….
Agent Ng and her team return to Shadow Base and shortly
thereafter, Leader and Dr. Alba arrive with their Humanoids to take over and
plot to experiment with Hulk’s and Wolverine’s genetic material….
