Invincible Iron Man #61 Review by (October 29, 2013)
Review: Iron Man has trouble fighting a thug who is using one of his gauntlets? Not really but for some reason the fight scenes are more violent and grueling than the lame foes (or the skimpy plot) warrant. Kudos to Tuska and Esposito for making this issue look more exciting than it should have been!

Comments: Part two of two.

Synopsis / Summary / Plot

Invincible Iron Man #61 Synopsis by T Vernon
Iron Man is held fast by a Capto-Lock (huge clamps on his arms) a prisoner of the Masked Marauder who has hijacked Stark’s space shuttle (last issue). Originally plotting to hold the craft for ransom, the villain now schemes to convert the ship into a guided missile with a nuclear warhead pointed at Detroit; his demand: one billion dollars. The henchman Steele removes one of the hero’s gauntlets and Iron Man, power restored, breaks free and fights the thug who finds the residual power in the stolen glove quickly diminishing. Suddenly the Masked Marauder appears and shoots Iron Man in the back….
Interlude: Happy Hogan tries to phone Pepper to demand she quit but the line is busy—since the Marauder is calling with his ransom demand….
Iron Man leaps up and beats the two villains into a heap for several pages….
Epilogue: Tony returns to find Pepper in tears: Happy says he is leaving her….
