Iron Man 2.0 (2011 series) #11

The next stage of the Palmer Addley Infection has turned a crowd in O'Hare Airport into a mob out to kill each other. Iron Man 2.0 can't fight these opponents, so he gases them to sleep instead. Unfortunately they shake this off almost immediately.

Suzi Endo remotely studies the virus involved, and finds that it is evolving at a fantastic rate to counter everything used against it. She also reports that scenes like this are happening all over the US.

James Rhodes abandons his hopeless task and heads to New York where he hopes to find some cleverer help.

New York has its own problems. Iron Man is trying to do crowd control alongside Invisible Woman, Spider-Man and Thing in their Future Foundation uniforms. Suzi Endo tells Rhodey that Tony Stark has a plan. He seeds the clouds with an antidote he's invented, and Storm causes it to rain. New York is saved!

Suzi Endo is being shown the infected subject they tested Stark's cure on, now perfectly normal. But the virus in him mutates yet again, and he goes berserk, slaughtering all around him and menacing Suzi. Of course Iron Man 2.0 arrives in time to save her. She tells him to take her to Mr Fantastic in the Baxter Building.

But on the way they are attacked by Iron Man. Tony Stark has been infected!
