Synopsis / Summary / Plot

Red Skull #2 Synopsis by Peter Silvestro

Magneto and his rescuer the Red Skull escape the zombie hordes that are busy feasting on Magnetos's dead comrades. The Skull takes his “guest” back to his home inside a bombed-out Sentinel. The Skull sees Magneto as his tool to destroy the Shield and return to conquer the civilized world. Magneto refuses, not trusting the Skull who hands Mags a knife and challenges him to kill the Skull. Without his powers he is too weak to defeat his foe. The Skull then claims to know how to remove the power-dampening collar....

The two journey into New Xandar, the realm ruled over by Annihilus. The Skull explains to the insectoid monarch that Magneto can destroy the Shield, allowing Annihilus' hordes to invade Doom's domain—but Annihilus recognizes that Magneto is not convinced of this plan. So Red Skull unlocks Mags' collar and, with his full powers back, the Master of Magnetism unleashes a blast that armors himself with the cavern's metallic walls and he agrees to join the Red Skull's scheme....
