Superior Avengers (2025 series) #6

Kristoff Vernard brought back 6 'superheroes' from a future to bear witness to the success of Dr Doom's world rule. What he didn't know was that they were Doom's acolytes who'd killed him but thereby lost all the magic in the world and let in a demonic future version of Annihilus. They actually came back to steal magic from the present. But 1 of their number the Abomination turned out to be a host for that Annihilus.

Now Dr Octopus, Killmonger, Malekith and Onslaught are fighting the demon in Kristoff's lab and losing. Vernard and Ghost, the 6th of the Superior Avengers, arrive via a teleportal. Killmonger is more concerned with using Doom's Time Platform to get the Arcane Warhead they've created to their future.

But we take time out for a flashforward to Anno Doom 128 where KM, MK and OS have just killed Doom alongside Bullseye and Yellowjacket. BE tries to steal the Eye Of Agamotto and gets fried as it self-destructs. Onslaught senses Annihilus and the Annihilation Wave.

Now DO asks for KM's help but is ignored and gets eaten by the foe. Ghost (Ava Starr), who's not the villain the others think she is, knows she can't do anything against Annihilus but intends to stop KM.

Then the present Dr Doom shows up and takes charge. He sees OS mentally holding Annihilus while MK slashes at it. Then he uses his magic to split Malekith into the 2 weapons:- All-Black the Necrosword (in the form a large black spiked mallet) and Undrjarn the All-Weapon (in the form of a golden sword). He gives the sword to Kristoff and advises him to use it as a key to lock Annihilus out of this world. He then notes that Onslaught is wearing Magneto's helmet which prevents psychic intrusion. He takes it off him exposing him to the foe's utter nihilism. Meanwhile KV sees that Annihilus is still anchored emerging from the body of Abomination and he uses the sword to cut him off at the root. There's a magical explosion and the foe is dead but also OS's mind is blown. Doom puts him out of his misery with a blow from the mallet.

Meanwhile KM has made her way to the Time Platform with the Arcane Warhead on it. But Ghost has followed her and attacks, phasing both of them through the stone floor. KM accuses her of being a backstabbing traitor but G reminds her that *she* herself frontstabbed her lover Kristoff (but he got better). Her ghosting power means Killmonger can't stab *her* and she tells her she's going to leave her to die in this sealed room. She reveals that she's not the future prison boss Ghost but 1 of her prisoners. She ghosts out and KM swears revenge.

Despite their victory Victor Von Doom is again disappointed in his adopted son Kristoff's overall failure.

A flashforward to AD47 shows Doom telling an aged KV that he's learned all the magic that there is in this dimension and he's going to other planes to learn more. He leaves him his mask and Dr Strange's Cloak Of Levitation and Eye Of Agamotto to take his place as Sorcerer Supreme and ruler of the world. (So presumably the person the Superior Avengers killed in the future was actually Kristoff.)

Now KV leaves his father a message and takes the 2 weapons to seek out and destroy the present-day Annihilus.
