Synopsis

The Defenders #3 synopsis by Julio M2
Rating: 5 stars

Doctor Strange offers to help the Silver Surfer trespass Galactus barrier around the Earth by traveling to a point outside of it through dimensional travel. The Sub-Mariner and Hulk join them and, lead by the Master of the Mystic Arts, they enter an inter dimensional channel. But they end up in the plane of the Nameless One!

Before leaving, they see Barbara Denton (who once helped Doctor Strange escape from this realm) trapped in a force field. The Surfer and Strange free her. But a maelstrom from a gaping hole sucks the heroes! The Hulk holds his friends, and the Surfer takes them to safety using his board.

Suddenly, they see the women they love: Jarella (Hulk), Shalla Bal (Surfer), Clea (Strange), and Lady Dorma (Sub-Mariner), trapped in force fields. But it’s just a trick from the Nameless One.

Finally, they realize Barbara had become one with the Nameless One! The Defenders download heavy blows on the super villain until they successfully trap his foot in a force field. Strange separates Barbara from the Nameless One, but such causes her to become insane.

The Defenders leave with Barbara lead by the Silver Surfer. He wants to return to a location near Earth but outside of the Galactus’ barrier. Strange issues the spell to bring them all back to their dimension, but somehow they end up on Earth by a castle. The Surfer, still a prisoner of Galactus’ barrier, takes off regretting of having asked humans for help.
