As the Invaders (Captain America,
Bucky Barnes, Sub-Mariner, Human Torch, Toro) rush the critically wounded
Jacqueline Falsworth and her father Lord Falsworth a/k/a Union Jack
to a hospital, Cap's mind goes back to a recent adventure...
Adolf Hitler dispatches his agent the
Reaper to the United States. Posing as a prophet, Reaper announces
that a vision has revealed that there is no such thing as wrong. This
convinces many people who begin rioting against the police. Reaper is
arrested but he can't be charged as he has not broken any laws.
Captain America and Bucky visit the Reaper at his hotel and confront
him; a fight breaks out with the Reaper's henchmen and Reaper calls
the police on the heroic duo. Next, the Reaper gathers his American
Nazi supporters to join him in agitating for America to make peace
with Hitler, aided by the dupes among the public. Bucky uncovers
evidence that the Reaper is a Nazi agent and he and Cap break up the
rally. Cap pursues the Reaper into the subway where the villain steps
on the third rail and is electrocuted. Back in Germany, Hitler throws
a fit.
… and back in the present, the heroes
and their wounded allies arrive at hospital....
