Agent Axis' attempt to reseparate his
personality has resulted in Davy Mitchell gaining spinning powers,
Gwenny Lou Sabuki having the ability to shoot “golden sunbursts”
out of her hands and a lot of chaos. The Invaders (Captain America,
Sub-Mariner, Human Torch) arrive to add to the madness. Agent Axis
escapes using Dr Sabuki as a hostage; the villain leaps into his
mechanical mole with Sabuki and takes off, drilling a hole through
the cave walls which fills up again as soon as the machine goes
through; Human Torch tracks it through the earth by its heat to the
desert. The mole comes up in a reservoir where Namor is waiting to
snatch Dr Sabuki away. Cap then lands Namor's flagship where the
villain is and there is a short but violent fight between Cap and
Agent Axis. Cap returns to the cave with Axis to find Gwenny Lou, now
Golden Girl, and Davy, now Human Top, have vanquished the trio of
henchmen with the aid of Bucky and the recovered Toro. Once the team
is reassembled, Bucky explains his plan....
Bucky and Toro, with Golden Girl and
the Human Top, take Namor's ship to fly Dr Sabuki back to the
relocation center at Sandy Flat. On the way, they find clothing
stored in the ship that can be adapted to superhero costumes.
Arriving at the center, Bucky confronts the angry bigoted commander
Captain Sims. As they argue, the mechanical mole buzzes up through
the ground and Agent Axis emerges. The four youthful heroes team up
to take down the villain, and Toro seals up the mole to await
investigation by army scientists. Dr Sabuki chooses to stay in the
camp to serve as doctor to the inmates. The kids return to the cave
where they learn that Agent Axis was the Sub-Mariner in disguise to
give the youngsters more clout with Captain Sims. As they head east
with the real villain captive, Bucky, Toro, Golden Girl, and Human
Top announce their plans to stay in the USA as...The Kid Commandos!
