Synopsis / Summary / Plot

Ultimates 2 #5 Synopsis by Julio Molina-Muscara
The Ultimates battle Thor, with Captain America using a flamethrower to set the Thunder God alight. Wasp enters Thor’s mouth to create a brain freeze, while the others try to remove his power belt. Thor holds them off with a great deal of violence until Quicksilver manages to snatch the belt away, leaving Thor powerless and humbled. Later Thor receives a visitor in his cell (formerly Bruce Banner’s) at the Triskelion: Loki. The God of Mischief reveals that it is all just a game, discrediting Thor in the eyes of the mortal he was sent to save, and he also tells Thor of a traitor among the Ultimates. What can Thor do against a foe who can shuffle reality like a pack of cards—or maybe it is all just in his head? Downstairs, Nick Fury assembles the team to reveal a major problem in the mid-east that they need to deal with.
