Ultimates 2 #3 Review by (February 15, 2010)
Hulk appears in a symbolic image on the issue's cover but not inside. For those who may have missed it, the implication is that Hank Pym injected Bruce with the Hulk formula along with the sedative, enabling him to survive the bomb blast.

Synopsis / Summary / Plot

Ultimates 2 #3 Synopsis by Peter Silvestro
As the world watches, Bruce Banner's trial opens; he is defended by blind lawyer Matt Murdock who argues that Bruce is not responsible for his actions under the influence of the Hulk formula, and that his efforts for the government have made up for what was essentially an accident. Bruce and Betty share a tearful farewell. Nick Fury arrives with a bottle of champagne to celebrate the case being dismissed by the judge. Bruce takes a big drink-and collapses to the floor. Seems Fury lied and drugged the champagne to make Bruce's execution much easier. Bruce is sedated by Hank Pym and placed next to a bomb on an aircraft carrier in the middle of the ocean. A second before the detonation, Bruce opens his eyes. They're green. Then the bomb goes off. After Bruce's memorial service, Hank Pym goes home to receive a phone call from a mysterious stranger thanking him. The stranger hangs up and Bruce Banner loses himself in a crowd.
