Synopsis

World War Hulk #2 synopsis by Julio Molina-Muscara
Rating: 5 stars

While Doctor Strange prepares a spell to defeat the Hulk, the angry green monster advances through New York, defeating EVERYONE in his way: She-Hulk, Ares, Doc Samson, Mr. Fantastic, the Thing, the Human Torch, and the Invisible Woman. His warbound allies do their part as well: Spider-Man, Wonder Man, Ms Marvel, Spider Woman, and Luke Cage.

As it has happened before, Rick Jones calms the Hulk down. This gives Strange a chance to attack. Hulk leaps away and fights Hercules and his team, but they came to help the Hulk, not attack him.

Finally, we see how General Thunderbolt Ross commands US forces to prepare and attack on the Hulk.

World War Hulk #2 Review by (February 15, 2010)
Undoubtly, one of the best fight sequences ever in a Hulk book.

World War Hulk #2 Review by (February 15, 2010)
Dr Strange is with his New Avengers buddies Echo, Iron Fist and Ronin who complain about staying home while their stronger team-members Luke Cage, Spider-Man and Spider-Woman are out there fighting. They don't mention Wolverine, who was involved in WWH: X-Men #1-3 - like the rest of the X-Men he sits out the rest of the War. But the mention of Spider-Woman betrays when this issue was published - in the same month in NAv#32 SW quit the team to join the Mighty Avengers in the (delayed) MAv#6. And the Official Index puts WWH well after that. Hulk and the Warbound take on the Fantastic Four and their allies Black Panther and Storm after they've dealt with the Avengers and others. The central points of the battle are Hulk vs Human Torch, then Thing, then Mr Fantastic pretending to be Hulk's friend Sentry. Hulk takes MrF prisoner. Then Sue Richards calls on Sentry for help, who despite having changed from Bob Reynolds to his super-id last issue is still sitting this out. Hercules' team are Amadeus Cho, Angel and Namora, as seen in Hulk #107 where their fight is detailed.

Tie-ins:- WWH: FRONT LINE #2/1 Ben Urich and Sally Floyd cover the events of WWH#2, and Daredevil tries to help the poor who are stuck in Manhattan. AVENGERS: THE INITIATIVE #4(p18-22) The Initiative trainees in Manhattan to help the evacuation disobey Triathlon and go to join the fight. They run into Hulk and the Warbound just after the defeat of the Avengers. Henry Gyrich readies the Shadow Initiative to rescue them. AVENGERS: THE INITIATIVE #5fb(7.3-9.1) The trainees get their heads handed to them by Hulk and friends. GHOST RIDER #12(p19-22)-13 Ghost Rider (with Johnny Blaze in control) finds the Hulk and tries to stop him. The battle leaves Blaze unconscious and the Ghost Rider demon free to act - but he leaves because he only avenges the innocent, which the Illuminati aren't. Dr Strange and Mr Fantastic both separately watch the fight. INCREDIBLE HULK #107(p17.2-24)-108 Amadeus Cho & pals find Hulk. Cho tries to convince Hulk they are his friends, but Hulk attacks them and Hercules fights back. Separately Rick Jones and Miek of the Warbound fight until Miek and another of his insect people Mung clash over their interpretation of the extent of Hulk's planned revenge. Miek and Rick agree to help Hulk in their own ways.
