A UFO crashes to Earth but the Air Force is unable to locate it. Joe Harper, a small-town electrician, is out driving when he sees a giant orange creature lying in the swamp, which he dubs the Hulk. He brings it home to his workshop where he hooks it up to electrical apparatus which brings the Hulk to consciousness. It gives its name as Xemnu and explains how he lived on a world with a multitude of other creatures and one day he hijacked a supply ship and its power ran out near Earth and it crashed into the swamp. Joe figures out that Xemnu is a criminal who escaped from a prison planet but it’s too late, Xemnu hypnotizes Joe into believing Xemnu the Hulk is mankind’s benefactor who must be obeyed. Xemnu brings Joe out of the trance so he can explain its nefarious scheme. Xemnu intends to hypnotize the entire world to build him a massive spaceship to cross the universe, a ship so powerful that it will destroy Earth in its takeoff. And so Xemnu the Living Hulk does exactly that: he hypnotizes the world and has them build a giant spaceship. Joe pleads for mercy but is denied. Joe has an idea and goes aboard the ship and manipulates some wires. When the Hulk starts the engine, there is a short circuit, sending electrical current through the monster and paralyzing him. Joe then sends the ship off at a harmless fraction of the power so that Earth is spared. Joe tries to tell his wife about it but she doesn’t believe him. When the news reports that a mysterious satellite is now orbiting the sun, only Joe Harper knows what it is!
