Sensing that his
daughter Lilith is inside, Dracula enters a Greenwich Village art gallery.
Knowing she inhabits a series of host bodies, he is drawn to Angel O’Hara, but
learning she is pregnant and has a boyfriend, he decides he was mistaken. But
he follows Angel and Martin Gold home and enters, hypnotizing Martin into
immobility and confronting Angel in the shower; she is, indeed, Lilith. And she
reiterates how much she hates him, will do nothing to help him, and intends to
kill him in a most human manner. He flees and she pursues in bat form he curses
her for being the only one with the rightful heritage to turn him back to a
vampire. She leads him to the Cherry Lane Theater where the play The Passion
of Dracula is being performed. In the audience is Harold H. Harold with
Darlene, an attractive actress he is (vainly) trying to impress….
In Boston, Domini is
still worried about Dracula; Janus arrives and yet again they talk about his
destiny to kill his father, while she regrets the situation….
Dracula and Lilith
take the stage to battle, their ancient hatreds coming out and confusing the
audience. As the theatergoers all flee (save for Harold), Lilith sends a swarm
of rats to attack her father. She flies up to the roof and calls down a storm,
sending a pack of dogs to occupy him along with several hypnotized humans.
Harold calls Quincy Harker in Boston and is told he is in New York; he phones
the hotel and informs Quincy, Rachel van Helsing, and Frank Drake as to what is
going on….
When the vampire
hunters arrive, Harold points out Lilith, in bat form, and Rachel is certain
that Dracula will never escape them….
Meanwhile, Dracula
flees through the night, determined to find Janus and learn what else awaits
him….
