Wonder Man #9 Review by (March 27, 2014)
Review: To make the obvious joke: this issue ends with a bang. Its real significance is the debate over the morality of the war, as first Starfox, then Vision, argue that there’s no point in stopping the bomb—the former out of cowardice, the latter out of a rationalism unrestrained by morality. The good guys win the argument—for now. Meanwhile, thrill to the Wonder Man/Vision slugging match; this is a comic book after all. The epic as a whole? One of the best multi-comic crossovers, marked by a complex story, tight plotting, strong characterization, and consistent quality. And it actually tries to mean something in the end!

Comments: Part 18 of Operation Galactic Storm.

Wonder Man #9 Synopsis by Peter Silvestro

Follows QUASAR #34

Aboard the Nega-Bomb, Wonder Man and Vision fight off attacking Skrulls—then face a different conflict: Wonder Man wants to deactivate the bomb while the overly logical Vision sees the destruction of the Kree as the simplest way to end the war….. The Kree Avengers diplomatic team arrives at the site of the bomb (and the Shi’ar team is in transit) as Wonder Man and the Vision fight over the matter. When they reach the heart of the bomb—the Negative Zone—Vision realizes he does not understand death so he leaves the decision up to Simon. They fight off another Skrull attack while the Avengers are doing the same out in space. Then to everyone’s shock and horror, the Nega-Bomb detonates….
