Daredevil recalls an incident years ago
in which he captured a cannibalistic serial killer named Stanley Sean
Sugarwill; DD needed to pray that he wouldn't kill Stanley while
beating him to a pulp....
Malekith has Kurse beating Kingpin to
force him to tell how to defeat Daredevil. Fisk offers to kill DD
himself and soon Dark Elves are burning down churches in New York to
bring Daredevil, the God without Fear, on the run. Wilson Fisk
appears, strength boosted and wielding a giant hammer; the two smash
at each other with inhuman might, laying waste part of the city. Some
Frost Giants arrive and one goes to step on DD; Fisk swing his hammer
and destroys the monster. Then DD realizes: a Roxxon news copter is
filming this and Wilson Fisk looks like the hero fighting for the
city....
Malekith learns that Fisk is not going
to kill Daredevil and so his Dark Elves take disabled children
hostage to draw DD to him for his destruction....

Synopsis: At Avengers Mountain among
the refugees, Doctor Strange is in a trance; turns out he's actually
removing various ugly creatures like temporal ghasts from Eternity. A
little girl gives him her stuffed rabbit as he is about to go to
sleep to face another enemy: it's Nightmare, who believes that Dr
Strange's worry is what will ensure his victory in the coming
invasion. Strange, however, smiles; the foe has helped him articulate
his concerns and to realize that his miscast spell teleporting the
heroes to the refuge was really a concern for the refugees' safety
rather than his own. He chains Nightmare and wakes up, ready for
action once more.
Captain Marvel, Iron Fist, and
Black Panther also appear in the story.
“My Drag Brunch With Loki”

Synopsis: Centuries ago in Asgard:
child Loki turned Thor into a bear cub and wanted to know why Odin's
helmet had horns. Freyja tells him it is to show the world what a
hero looks like. Loki restores Thor to his rightful form and vows to
be a hero someday....
Now: While Hulkling stays home to watch
TV, Wiccan meets their pal Kate Bishop at a drag club for brunch.
Kate wants to talk about their problems with Loki and if they are
being too hard on him. When Wiccan is contacted by Hulkling that Kate
is still in California, he realizes he is sitting with a disguised
Loki. Wiccan divines that Loki wants to know if he can ever be
forgiven. Wiccan cuts though Loki's self-justification to tell him
that there will be a reckoning but that there are people who care
about him, including himself. [A few days later Wiccan and Hulkling
see Loki eaten by his father Laufey.] Wiccan leaves and a couple of
kids ask Loki if he is the devil with the horns on his helmet. He
replies, “Sometimes.”
