White Wolf reviews the news media to see all of his plot elements falling into place.
Crossbones is getting impatient for action while WW tells him they are laying a
trail of bread crumbs to lead Captain America into a trap….
The
issue alternates two plots, following Sam Cap and Joaquin Falcon. We’re grouping them for easier reading:
Falcon
(Joaquin Torres) goes to the secret facility run by the Commission on Superhuman
Activities to visit his cousin Luisa. He learns from her that they were
escaping for a lab when they were found by Cap and Falcon. Falcon then sees the
prisoner “Harvey Madsen” to ask why the mercenaries were attacking the train
that was carrying only immigrants. Before he can reveal what the mercs were
after, an alarm goes off to signal the presence of an unidentified substance in
the building. Joaquin hurries off—and then the guards murder Madsen. Falcon
discovers Luisa is the target so he sets off an explosion to escape through the
hole in the ceiling. White Wolf again tells Crossbones to be patient….
Captain America (Sam Wilson) suddenly appears in a torture chamber in Latveria, having
questions he needs to ask Deadpool, a prisoner. Cap beats up the guards, frees ‘Pool
and they fight their way through the building. Cap wants to know about the
puzzling Super-Soldier Serum smuggling scheme that had no Serum involved. ‘Pool
reveals that he was in Latveria looking for a bounty, an American White
Supremacist leader who deals in Vibranium. They make it to the roof and board a
helicopter but run into a huge airship—and Doctor Doom is there to take them
captive for running a covert operation in his nation without permission….
