Steve Rogers is treated to a special viewing of a documentary about Captain America’s wartime exploits by the producers, who are hoping he will agree the narrate it. Unfortunately, the film reawakens Steve’s memories of his failure to save Bucky and leads to his concern for the life of Sharon Carter, and Steve walks out without a word. Elsewhere, Batroc has enlisted the aid of the Swordsman and the Living Laser to recover a hidden weapon. Captain America is also assigned to locate the same weapon, a seismo-bomb, planted by a foreign spy who died without leaving a clue as to its whereabouts. The only warning they have is that three small shocks will be followed by the major one that destroys the city. Cap heads to the place where the spy was captured and finds the villainous trio ahead of him. The Swordsman stays behind to stop Cap while the other two search for the bomb. The foe’s high-tech sword holds off Cap for a time but eventually the Avenger gets the drop on his enemy and knocks him out. The first small shock then strikes the city. Cap catches up with the other two baddies and the Living Laser attacks. Cap dodges the deadly beams until he gets the chance to head-butt his enemy and smash his wrist lasers. As the second shock hits, Cap manages to convince the Laser that the city is in danger and the villain reveals Batroc’s destination, a nearby manhole. Cap and the French acrobat struggle until the third shock strikes. Cap explains the situation and Batroc flees for his life, leaving Cap to search for the bomb. He finds it and manages to defuse it in the nick of time.

There is no explanation as to how Batroc was able to figure out the general location of the bomb when SHIELD couldn't.
