Synopsis / Summary / Plot

Carnage #2 Synopsis by Peter Silvestro

Flashback: eight months ago, a satellite encountered the remains of the Carnage symbiote where the Sentry left it....

Now, three months after issue #1, Spider-Man has located the woman injured in the chase, now hidden away in a private hospital. She is Dr. Tanis Nieves, Shriek's psychiatrist at the Ravencroft Institute, trying to prevent her patient from being taken away. Her missing arm has already been replaced, without her consent, with a new state-of-the-art prosthesis. She is prevented from telling Spidey who the new owner of Ravencroft is by the arrival of lawyers representing her new employer. After Spidey swings off, Dr. Nieves is taken to Hall Industries R&D where Shriek is contained in an elaborate device which drains off her negative emotions and converts it into biomass. As Dr. Nieves watches in horror, her new prosthetic arm makes her kill the techs in the lab and points her back toward the symbiote....

Tony Stark has not been able to find out who owns the truck, the lab, or the armored guards sent last issue, but their netting resembles that of Carnage. Tony informs Peter about all this and so Iron Man and Spidey join up to confront the person Tony knows is behind this: Dr. Michael Hall. Arriving at Hall's labs, they face the five flashy guards in high-tech exoskeletons and there is a brief battle before the guards are mysteriously called away....
