The Headmen use a relic to release Orrgo, a god trapped a millennium under New York city. This formidable monster can cause extensive damage and control the minds of people. He can’t subdue those who touched the relic, though. Among those are Valkyrie (Samantha Parrington), Hellcat and Nighthawk, plus the Headmen, AIM, and their leader MODOK.
The Defenders can do little against Orrgo. A worse fate for Mr. Fantastic, the Thing, the Human Torch, Thor, and Spider-Man who never touched the relic. Orrgo turns them into monsters, statues or objects with a simple gesture!
Cities turn to rubble worldwide. Volcanoes erupt, and large cities levitate from the ground.
