Domination Factor: Avengers #1 Synopsis by Peter Silvestro

Continued from DOMINATION FACTOR: FANTASTIC FOUR #1.

Iron Man contacts the Avengers ( Captain America, Scarlet Witch, Thor, Vision) about the attack on Air Force One; as they investigate the identity of the attackers they suddenly notice that Jarvis is frozen in time. Everyone but them seems to be likewise trapped and they discover the second Harbinger of Everlasting Winter at the Hudson River; As with the Fantastic Four, the giant wooden statue fights them with great power, even recovering instantly from Thor's hammer blows. Iron Man and Thor try synchronizing their efforts and they manage to topple the giant—onto a crowded highway....

At the Swiss HQ of Praxis Corporation, the dying Nora Queen tries to keep control over company business; her agents have lost the Golden Apple that was the key to immortality but her sly assistant Lester has an alternate plan in motion....

The Avengers stop the wooden giant from hitting the highway and Vision discovers that the creature has something within compelling them to fight it. Suddenly Dr Strange appears before them in his astral form explaining to them about the Golden Apple, divided into eight pieces which they and the FF must recover; he sends their astral forms back to inhabit their bodies in a past time to recover four of the apple slices and warning them to avoid messing up past events....

Tony Stark finds himself at one of the lowest points of his life—the period when he was a drunken derelict on the streets of New York. He nearly falls in the path of a bus but a good Samaritan rescues him and gives him some cash. After a meal and coffee, Tony enters the barbershop which is a secret entrance into SHIELD HQ in search of Nick Fury. The barbers deny knowing anything about SHIELD and when Tony starts a ruckus, they call the police who take him away....

Wanda finds herself at the United Nations along with Quicksilver and Toad the day Magneto disrupts the meeting and demands that the delegates create a nation for mutants. The Avengers (Hawkeye, Goliath, Wasp) arrive and do battle with the Evil Mutants. In the battle a gunshot grazes Wanda's head (at the maneuvering of Magneto) and the angry Quicksilver fights heroes, now finally convinced that Magneto was right (Mags' plan all along). The villains escape and find Wanda unharmed except she has lost her memory....
