Through the machinations
of the Enchantress, her and Thor’s son Magni, God of Strength, has been brought
into the present world from his alternate timeline. After some explanations,
Amora finally gets to why—and the answer is that Thor is fated to die soon.
Thor confirms this but Magni points out that he is not the child of the present
Amora and Thor. Thor says how he would follow a Midgard custom and play catch
with his son, tossing him Mjolnir. And Magni catches it and raises the hammer
over his head. Thor then suggests they go hunting together…for super-villains….
The villains Grey Gargoyle,
Mister Hyde, Cobra, and Radioactive Man meet on a rooftop on Earth,
waiting for Thor, Hyde growing violently emotional, and Gargoyle afraid of
landing in an America jail. Radioactive Man isn’t worried: as a foreign
national, he knows he will be held in a comfortable cell for a few hours while
his people make a deal to release him. And then the Rainbow Bridge arches over
them and Thor, Magni, Amora, and Sif descend from the sky. An enraged Hyde
attacks, leaping at Magni, who, as the God of Strength, easily punches his
lights out. Hyde then demands that Cobra give him a potentially lethal dose of
the serum that empowers him. Cobra does so, filling the air first with Cobra
Gas to blind the gods; Sif, with the eyesight of Heimdall, simply walks through
it and swats him. Grey Gargoyle tries to petrify Amora, who detects the weak
transmutation spell and responds with a stronger one, turning GG to green rock.
Thor then blows the gas away, revealing a giant Mister Hyde. He punches Magni
over the side of the roof so Thor calls to Amora to catch him as he can’t fly
and he might hurt someone by landing on them. Hyde swings at Thor but his fist
meets Mjolnir, injuring him. Thor than clouts him into the ground. A smug
Radioactive Man then surrenders peaceably. The police arrive to arrest Amora
and Thor so the gods return to Asgard….
Dario Agger has
been watching on television, joyous that Amora and Thor will look bad. He
checks the progress on his scheme to pass himself off as Dario Agger Jr.,
covering up his return from the dead….
As the four
villains are being shipped off to prison, Calvin Zabo (Hyde’s human identity)
snarks at Radioactive Man for his big talk earlier. But Chen Lu’s future looks
to be what he said it was as they enter Daedalus LLC, a private prison owned by
Roxxon….
