The issue is divided into three parts: From the Rhine...A Girl of Gold! (Part I); Valkyrie Rising! (Part II); Beyond The Siegfried Line! (Part III). A Special Note from the Editor is included on the last page regarding the need to cut the length of the story in half to turn the The Invaders into a regular 25 cent comic. Also a note that it will be published every 2 months.

Synopsis / Summary / Plot

Invaders, The #1 Synopsis by Marc Toy
The Invaders take on Nazi dive bombers amid the Battle Of Britain (Part I).  Captain America rescues a mysterious gold-haired woman (Hilda) amid the rubble in the London subway who has a bit of amnesia, while British Intelligence has had no luck locating the German enemy Brain Drain.  Hilda thinks she has heard of such a man, checks out a map and recognizes where she might be from and it is deep behind enemy lines. The Invaders decide to take her with them in hopes she can lead them to Brain Drain. Bucky stays behind as a liaison for the British (Part II). Flying in Namor's finned airship,  the Invaders head into occupied France where the ship is hit on the starboard wing by a large axe. Namor orders everyone to bail out even though the airship has an automatic "Fall-Safe System" that kicks in causing it to land safely. Namor wanted to take no chances. On the ground, the Invaders are confronted by three "Gods" who order them to turn back or face the lightning bolts of  the Great God Froh, the searing flames of Loga, God of Fire and the axe-weilding wrath of Donar, God of the Raging Thunder! (Part III)...continued next issue.
