In battle with the cult leader Raga, Son of Fire, Iron Man manages to free himself from the molten lava created by the fiery villain but the lava flow threatens the homes below. The hero diverts the threat and returns to the combat. At this point Raga’s master the Black Lama appears and reveals Raga’s origin: a student from India who was rejected in love, he was recruited by the Black Lama and taught to channel his anger into flame powers. Raga continues with the planned execution of the rebellious disciple Cynthia but Iron Man arrives and battles the villain, while Cynthia’s lover Mack rescues her. In a furious and violent battle Shellhead defeats Raga soundly. The Black Lama abandons his failed disciple to return to his own dimension and Raga’s bitterness, anger, and fear cause a massive earthquake which results in a rockslide sending the villain to his death in the lake below.
