Last issue Loki persuaded America Chavez to help him steal a box from the Asgard armoury, supposedly to honour a promise to dead Odin. They escaped through 1 of her star portals but Hildegarde of the Warriors Three followed them. They don't know where they went but Loki was attacked by a zombie Nightcrawler.

Now the zombie breaks his teeth and Loki reveals that he's wearing something that the Valkyrie recognises as the Armour Of Sol, which also blasts the foe with light. Loki admits that he *may* have picked the lock on the chest on the way and taken the armour out. Hildie accuses the God Of Lies of lusting for power as usual, but Loki claims that he didn't want to *use* it because that would start to drain its energy. And anyway he's not God Of Lies anymore (but God Of Stories).
America reminds them (and us) that her powers are unreliable these days and also her energy is drained so she doesn't think she can get them back home. To make matters worse the zombie recovers and bamfs to attack Hildegarde but Chavez punches him so he bamfs away to Loki. But the Armour automatically repels him but nearly zaps America too. Loki asks it to be more careful next time.
The Valykrie tells them all to stand back to back as a horde of zombies approach. Loki says they *must* leave but Chavez doesn't want to risk any zombies following them. But she says she'll try to open a portal but can't say where to. Loki tells her to do it and she succeeds and drags Hildegarde through with her. But Loki stays behind to emit a green blast from his sceptre which burns up lots of zombies. America struggles to keep the portal open until Loki comes through too.
They're all in midair and falling. Chavez has lost consciousness with the strain and Loki dives down to save her, his armour shining bright. But they're watched from the ground by a queen who tells her General Eliad to get 1 of his aerial soldiers to bring her the 'shiny 1'. A soldier on a giant 'dragonfly' whirls handcuffs on a chain which clamp on to Loki's wrists just as he's about to grab America. He's hauled away as Hildie manages to reach her just before they hit the ocean.
