Synopsis
Excelsioring your collection
Bor has been summoned from Hel to officiate at the wedding of Sigurd and the Disir, thus breaking the curse on the vicious women. As the ceremony progresses, Dani Moonstar grows increasingly uncomfortable with their vow to become Sigurd’s chattel and decides to free them another way. She slashes Bor with a sword and his blood draws the Disir after him. To escape, he opens a portal to Hel but the Disir and Dani follow. Trapped at the gates by order of Hela—said gates being guarded by Loki—Bor’s only recourse is to lift the curse altogether. Restored to their original forms, the shieldmaidens swear fealty to Hela. Back in San Francisco, the heroes are returned to their own identities. Mephisto appears and vows revenge against Loki for losing him his handmaidens. Sigurd, meanwhile, has decamped to Texas, where the former Disir corner him in a tavern men’s room and inform him that they can wait for his death to gain their satisfaction….
