Synopsis / Summary / Plot

Sub-Mariner #35 Synopsis by Peter Silvestro
Sub-Mariner, Hulk and the Silver Surfer approach the island, with Namor explaining his plan to reason with UN forces from a position of strength. The trio confronts the UN forces who retreat in the face of the overwhelming odds and contact their superiors in New York. The UN calls in the Avengers, who send Thor, Iron Man and Goliath to investigate the sudden rampage of the three superbeings. When the two trios of heroes face each other, Namor starts to explain the threat, but an impatient Hulk attacks Thor and a full-scale battle breaks out.

Hulk fights Thor, the Silver Surfer faces Iron Man, and Namor confronts Goliath. While this battle is taking place, Lady Dorma and her scientist Ikthon prove to the UN forces that the weather station is unstable and dangerous. The fight is called off but the Hulk will not settle down and when Namor and the Surfer try to restrain him, Hulk becomes angry and leaves. A disgusted Silver Surfer takes his leave as well, and Namor and the Avengers go their separate ways.
