Defenders, The (2001 series) #10

Hulk, Doctor Strange, the Sub-Mariner, and the Silver Surferentire group return to Earth to aid his teammates save the Earth from Orrgo. The magician extends the relic protection to the entire group. Their foe materializes a supervillain team against them. They include the Juggernaut, the Rhino, the Absorbing Man, Sandman, the Abomination, the Destroyer, Klaw, Electro, Mysterio, Doctor Octopus, the Green Goblin, Blastaar, Venom, and Doctor Doom.

Supervillains prove way too many and strong for the Defenders. So Nighthawk, Hellcat and Valkyrie (Samantha Parrington) access the Headmen’s building and recover the relic. Orrgo now under the control of the good guys.

Orrgo brings back things to normal, including the Fantastic Four, Thor, and Spider-Man. With Orrgo at their command, Doctor Strange thinks of using him to rid the world of villains. But Hellcat disagrees and hits the relic from Stephen Strange’s hands, crushing on the floor.

Orrgo returns to his world, and Doc Strange keeps the gem that was tied to the relic.
