Thor (Jane Foster) and Loki meet on the
battlefield in Alfheim where Malekith's forces are laying waste the
peaceful realm. Loki tries to convince Thor that he can be trusted to
help her end the war, or as he puts it “An all-new, all-different
Thor deserves an all-new, all-different Loki." Thor, who has had many
first-hand experiences of Loki as Jane Foster, responds to his wily
words by literally knocking his head off. That turned out to be a
decoy sent by a cautious Loki (with good reason, as we saw). The God
of Mischief reappears and Thor calls down a lightning strike, setting
him on fire. Loki reappears again, this time summoning all of his
varied incarnations—so Thor sends her hammer Mjolnir flashing among
them taking them down. The female Loki steps forward, claiming the
right to kill the Goddess of Thunder and a real battle is on. As the
two tangle, the various Lokis express their disappointment in the
current one, accusing him of deluding himself and covering up his
weakness and fear. Lady Loki pierces Thor's shoulder with her sword
so Thor ends it by sending Mjolnir to clobber the one real Loki among
them: the current one. Pinned to the ground by the hammer, he
confesses that he was sent by Malekith to kill her but was stalling
so that they could die together. At this Thor sees the villainous
Necro-troops riding giant bats—and dropping Roxxon-made bombs. The
Goddess of Thunder calls up a massive storm to carry the bombs back
into the sky where they explode—then we see Jane Foster plummeting
to Earth....
Epilogue: The Lady Freyja is brought
before Odin to be tried for her crimes....
