Synopsis
The 1st story reprints Avengers #4 which brought Captain America out of suspended animation.
Story 2:- Blues in the night
The resurrected Captain America foils a bank robbery. Iron Man turns up late and we learn that Cap is rooming in Tony Stark's townhouse (Avengers Mansion?) and Stark is refusing rent because of his wartime service to his country. Steve Rogers of course feels honour-bound to get a job and pay his way.
Gabe Jones joins them and says there are doubts about Cap's authenticity. Cap immediately recognises the ex-Howling Commando, who now works for Military Intelligence on loan to the Treasury Dept. Jones takes him to a Government lab where his dental records and fingerprints are checked, and a blood test confirms his DNA and the presence of the Super-Soldier Serum.
Now convinced of Steve's bona fides Gabe presents him with his GI back pay and his identification documents, and tells him that he'll continue to get a soldier's pay. He also takes Steve to a warehouse where his effects have been stored, including his original triangular shield. Steve is most glad to get his extensive record collection back. He also finds the book "A tree grows in Brooklyn" which Bucky lent him to read even though he hadn't yet finished it himself. And Cap recalls that Bucky died before he got round to it.
Jones says the Government will call on Cap's services from time to time. And Steve goes 'home' to read the book and listen to Woody Herman's "Blues in the night".
