Synopsis

Black Widow #3 Synopsis by Peter Silvestro

On the waterfront, Black Widow is confronted by Elektra who has learned that Natasha was recording data on her friends and allies. The two skirmish, sai versus gun as Elektra wants to know why and Nat talks about safety, the duel ending with the two holding their weapons at each other’s throats. Elektra tells her to fix it as she melts into the shadows. Then Natasha’s wounds hurt her and she collapses, sensing too late the man approaching her. But it is her friend Black Rose and he carries her aboard a ship where he tends her injuries. Later, she tells Black Rose that she knows what the black rose and ribbon mean but still does not know why….

In London, Natasha pays a prostitute to lure a man named Ned out of a club. She reveals herself as a friend of his father’s and she can’t promise she won’t kill him. He takes her to his cybernetics lab where he tells Nat about the customer named Sumi he builds android bodies for. He tells her that Sumi also wanted a means of downloading a brain so that he could see the memories but Ned was unable to accommodate him. A Sumi android walks in and Natasha shoots him; the body then explodes, setting the lab on fire. A second Sumi android enters, with Nat’s old enemies Ninotchka and Boris. There is a fight in the flaming room, during which Ninotchka kills Ned. Nat then defeats the two baddies and shoots down Sumi. She questions him but he only tells her to follow the black rose “After all, that’s how I found your baby….”
