The assassin reports to his boss the werewolf that Doc Savage is dead, but Doc has trailed him back to the villains’ camp and rescues Pat and Tiny, revealing to them that a safety wire around his waist saved him from the deadly fall. They are intercepted by the werewolf but Doc makes quick work of him and unmasks him as just a thug in a costume. Back at the Savage home, they are visited by Senorita Oveja who tells them that her father and El Rabanos will be killed if Doc does not turn over the ivory cube, which, she explains, is a disguised map to hidden pirate treasure. Doc manages to deduce the place where Boatface hid the cube and recover it but he and his men are captured by the werewolf and his gang and taken to the treasure cave, which Doc had located for their secret leader, El Rabanos. Doc and his men were only feigning capture to unmask the leader and a battle breaks out, ending in a cave-in which kills the villains. Doc manages to save the Ovejas and the treasure, which will be donated to Canadian charities.
