On Monster Island, A-Bomb has been
incapacitated by a mysterious yellow goo, leaving an unpowered Thunderbolt Ross
to fight the predators on their tail. Just when it seems he’s done for, Green
Hulk arrives to rescue him; this causes Ross to blaze up into anger,
transforming him into Red Hulk. The Hulks beat down the monsters, pick up Rick,
and head for the volcano which is the control center for the creatures. They
are attacked by flying monsters that shoot flames from their tails; Hulk tells
Red that Bruce Banner lied to him when he told him he had taken away Red’s
power to absorb energy so Red grabs them for a power up. The monsters’ attacks
also burned the yellow parasites out of A-Bomb’s armor but he is still unable
to join them. The Hulks punch their way into the volcano to find the Scorched
Earth supercomputer literally made up of several brains from clones of M.O.D.O.K.
and run by a band of LMDs. Hulk leaps at it but he is depowered and falls into
the huge brain jar. Red draws the power off the brain jar and smashes it, Rick
finally arriving to rescue Bruce. Bruce explains to Red Hulk that his ability
to absorb energy will burn him out and eventually result in him having to
choose to be either Red or Ross permanently. Red doesn’t like that answer….
In a hidden location, LMDs complete the
real purpose of the Scorched Earth program: distracting the heroes from the
creation of the new MODOK Superior….
“Things Best Left Unseen Part II”

Synopsis: On the forbidden Red Hole of
Dargalla, Uravo the Watcher has discovered her missing colleague Uatu who shows
her the bodies of explorers who have died seeking the Red Hole. Uravo knows the
history of the Red Hole: the Dargallans had defeated the Kryihd who, in
retaliation, imploded one of their own planets to create the Red Hole which
absorbed the life force to create the Omegex, a living weapon to destroy the
Dargallans. Before they all died, they in turn sabotaged the monster so that
instead of being deconstructed when it returned to its point of origin, the
Omegex would be recreated to destroy the Kryihd. And now, after untold eons,
the Omegex is about to be created once more. They unsync so that the monster
cannot detect them and destroy the Watchers’ planet. But Omegex does detect the
residue left by Red Hulk when he hit Uatu and so it heads for Earth….
