Synopsis

Hulk (2008 series) #3 synopsis by reviewer Julio MM
Rating: 4 stars

The SHIELD Helicarrier is totally lost after crashing in the New Jersey field. There are no casualties but there are three missing: Thunderbolt Ross, Doc Samson and Clay Quartermain. Iron Man orders their search. She-Hulk goes looking for Rulk after Maria Hill informs Tony Stark of a recording of a conversation between Ross and Bruce Banner in Gamma Base, where Banner is a prisoner.

In that recording, Banner tells Ross that the new Hulk must be someone with previous exposure to gamma radiation. Banner tells Ross to be careful and mutters other things not detected by the recording device.

Meanwhile, on Gamma Base grounds, Rulk fights A-Bomb, the Abomination-like monster Rick Jones has turned into. A-Bomb's hide is impenetrable but Rulk gets the upper hand and pounds him very hard to the floor until giant Harpy robots protecting the base pull them away. The Harpy robots are easily destroyed by Rulk and A-Bomb.

Rulk's pounding caused an earthquake of seismic level 10.0 which cracked the ground until it reached Banner's cell. Before the sleep gas could affect him, Banner turned into the (green) Hulk, climbed to the surface and faced Rulk.
