The idyllic fantasy land of Alfheim is disturbed by the battle between Thor and his League of Realms and the forces of Malekith, come to punish the refugee Dark Elves. The pixies and fairies join in the fight too in their own comical way, force-feeding vegetables and fruits to the captive enemy. Thor comes to appreciate the battle prowess of Dark Elf Lady Wazira but the League is still splintered among the members, Light Elf, Troll, Dwarf and Giant. Thor has a solution to unify his team: a visit to a tavern where he challenges the giant Oggy to a drinking contest; the competition serves as a male bonding ritual. Later Wazira finds Thor commiserating with Mjolnir about his fear of his father and his doubt that he has what it takes to hold the League together. She talks with him and he explains the bonding ritual but he has something else in mind for her: he sweeps her into his arms and kisses her. This is witnessed by a Dark Elf servant girl with a sinister smile….
Next the Dark Elf refugees among the giants of Jotunheim are attacked by Malekith and his forces but the League arrives to do battle. The giants stand back to watch the conflict with only Oggy of the League joining in with his massive arrows. Malekith leaps down his throat and slays him from inside, with his last (and only) words being "I wasn’t done listening yet." The villain cuts his way out of Oggy’s skull to confront his opponents. Malekith orders his trumpeter to blow a blast that summons his new allies—the Frost Giants…
