Story Name:

[The Invader Part 5]

Synopsis

Captain America: Sentinel of Liberty #11 synopsis by Peter Silvestro
Rating: 3.5 stars

As Bucky Barnes, the new Revolution of the Outer Circle, watches via viewscreen, Captain America comforts Sharon Carter over the death of Roger “Destroyer” Aubrey at the hands of MODOK and promises victory. While Sharon, Dryad, Nick Fury Jr., and Redacted take on the monstrosity, Cap goes after The Power. Bucky secretly transmits a code to Peggy who subvocalizes it; the code deprives MODOK of his weapons, turning him back into MODOC and the new Invaders blow him apart. Meanwhile, Cap hurls his shield at Power, who uses his magic to keep it spinning in midair. Cap spars with him then distracts him, releasing the shield to continue on its path and clout Power in the face. Cap speaks to Bucky who thanks him for playing the part he was assigned and tells him to stay out of his life forever. Sharon mourns Roger while blaming Bucky for his death….

Some time later, Steve hosts a barbecue on the roof of his building with Fury, Sharon, Paggy, and his college friends Mia, David, and Hudson. Steve discovers that Redacted, recovering from his wounds, wants a real name; Peggy overhears and secretly contacts the Outer Circle that Redacted is off the board. Mia thanks Steve for all he has done to rescue them. Steve asks Sharon to move in with him and there is a knock at the door: Ian Rogers, Steve’s son reveals he is alive and is now reunited with his adoptive father….

Story continues in CAPTAIN AMERICA: COLD WAR ALPHA….

Review / Commentaries

Captain America: Sentinel of Liberty #11 Review by (April 6, 2023)

Review: So the tedious and often opaque story arc comes to an end, leading into a Cap crossover which, we can hope, will eliminate the Outer Circle forever. You know the Outer Circle—it’s that dull and poorly defined Secretive Bad Guy Group for this Cap volume, not related to the Power Elite, the dull and poorly defined Secretive Bad Guy Group for the last Cap volume. The art has been nice but now that the fuss is over it all seems hollow. Excuse my sour attitude but I’ve been reading Marvel comics from the 70s and 80s lately when comics were fun. And I’ll head back there once I’ve posted this.
